What the fuck is happening with mice?

I have fallen out of love with the mainstream peripheral community, seeing it at times just genuinely pisses me off.

I found it nowadays to just be a cesspool of shills. I think it is more of a thing with a lot of reviewers don't even want to purchase stuff they are genuinely interested in anymore. It has been a huge reliance on praising brands in Twitter comments hoping for a free product, just for them to end up making a slow pan Tik Tok or taking 3 basic bitch photos with the provided product and calling it a day. Can a one-liner statement such as "This is my main." or "This feels insane" be considered acceptable from these "reviewers" anymore.

Nowadays I've been interacting more with the mouse modding community, people who obsess over the little details, with a strive to make their perfect mouse. The amount of creativity within this rather niche sub-section of the mouse community has been the biggest breath of fresh air for me.

I have a lot of respect for the people who design their dream shape, weight reduction bases/kits, and other customizations.

It moreso made me realize I have also lost interest in literally any mouse release by most brands. I feel that nowadays going with 3D printed mice is just the outright better option for alot of people who are deep into mice. I personally found my mouse for life through PMM, even then til now I am still tinkering with it to make it even more perfect, playing with different switches through hotswappable click pcbs, different skates, overall the little things that add up, and that's where I feel your hype and attention should be focused on rather than that new and shiny mouse with this and that from brand #908094823.
